ANOTHER STOLEN CAR CHASE: Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School, 4301 East-West Highway in downtown Bethesda— the car taken in an armed carjacking spotted earlier in Silver Spring was seen in the parking lot. Officers gave chase, where the occupants bailed on Kentbury Dr. A subject is in custody, possibly a B-CC student.

Happened yesterday. Principal's note merely references police activity related to a stolen car. The lockdown lasted all of 20 minutes, just before dismissal.

Bethesda is apparently ganglandia now, but it only involved B-CC tangentially.

Someone carjacked a car to drive it to HS?

I have a child at BCC. The car was spotted near BCC, not in the school parking lot!

Here’s more accurate reporting, based on information from the police and not from a notoriously inaccurate Twitter account. https://moco360.media/2023/11/13/bethesda-chevy-chase-high-school-in-lockdown-monday/

The Montgomery County Police Department's official Twitter account is notoriously inaccurate?

The MCPD Twitter page doesn’t say the car was found at the school. That’s from the MoCo PG News Twitter account, which is run by a student at the College of Charleston.

From MoCo 360, formerly Bethesda Magazine: “According to MCPD, at approximately 2 p.m. officers located a stolen vehicle near the high school. Police said the occupants of the car exited the vehicle and fled the scene and officers were able to apprehend one of the occupants, who was later taken into custody.” NEAR the high school. Not AT the high school.

It's like some B action movie with guns at WJ, knives at Churchill and Whitman and now car chases at BCC.

That PP must be confused or something because the police departments Twitter page is official.

Can you please post a link to the post from the police department saying the car was found in the school parking lot? I don’t see it on their account.
