VA DEPT TAXATION

Logged in this morning and saw a $400 deposit from VA Dept Taxation.

Anyone else get something similar? I was not expecting any refund so not sure why I got one.

Married filing jointly get a $400 "rebate." Singles get a $200 "rebate."

I have not gotten this. Does it come in waves?

Same! I googled and it was a stimulus from a surplus of taxes that they collected.

I'm pretty happy with it, so I assume that was the reaction they wanted right before the election.

I got a letter today saying that evidently they had sent me a check for $500 a year ago, but I am pretty sure I never received a check. They said their records show that I have not cashed it and that I can scan some QR code to get the check emailed to me. Excited!

We got our $400 on Friday. Had no idea it was coming so what a pleasant surprise!

Yup. Instead of using it for something useful - schools - he uses it to buy votes.

He should have used it to give school teachers a raise.
