Good nursing home in Montgomery County?

Anonymous
Looking for a good nursing home in Montgomery County for my elderly mother. Has dementia but not yet advanced, so something with a memory care option for later would be great.

Of course looking for the holy grail of a decent, clean room and kind, attentive staff.

The Landing in SS is closing. Many of their residents are going to Cadence in Olney.

When you say “nursing home”, do you mean assisted living?

They are looking for a nursing home with memory care help. Assisted living is different. Avoid Brookegrove.

I thought King Farm had multiple levels and they would help you move from one level to the next.

My mom had a good experience at the Hebrew Home when she was there for rehab in Fall 2022. It probably helped that I brought a bag of chocolate every week and that she spoke French, which many of the employees there also speak.

Good luck!
