If the sentence seems light, there is at least one other former TC Williams/ACHS students serving a life sentence for multiple murders.

I feel sad for the victims family. He should have been tried as an adult. But then again who’s to say he won’t end up in jail again in the future ….

Not sure I understand your logic. Good or bad, he didn’t deserve to be murdered.

And serving 5 years is little more than a slap on the wrist for the killer. Not exactly a deterring message for the local ne'er-do-wells.

Those 5 years have already ruined his life. Not saying he deserves less, don't get me wrong, but his life is over. No college, no career, no spouse in his future. That should satisfy your bloodlust somewhat?

The victim was swinging his arms around like he was doing some hybrid dance/punching into the air at no body and the killer literally runs up and stabs him repeatedly in the stomach and runs off. Regardless of whether the victim was in or associated with a gang, as a society his behavior in the parking lot didn’t warrant getting stabbed and dying.
