I haven’t ever met a Bryce in my real life. I do know of actress Bryce Dallas Howard.
Do you know a Bryce? Age and Sex/Gender? |
| I assume male. The two I’ve known personally are early 50s, but that’s probably skewed because so am I. Pioneer Woman has a college aged son named Bryce. |
| Male. |
|
I've met a boy and a girl Bryce through my kids (currently 5 and 9). I'd consider it solidly gender neutral.
As a Gen Xer, it fits solidly in the category of names that I associate with the preppy kids from John Hughes movies. |

It’s a male name.
Just because a celeb or tryhard names their daughter a traditional boys name doesn’t mean society must embrace it. Girls named James, Elliot, etc. were not served well by their parents. |
| I assume boy even though I know BDH is famous and a woman. |
| Male. Have one friend named Bryce. He’s 50 |
| Harper. |
| Male or Ski resort |
| I know a bryce who is an elementary school. It gives lacrosse Jock jerk vibes. Pretty fitting for Bryce Harper. |
I don't like it for either. But think male |
Bryce is a male name. |
| I know a teenage Bryce. Male |
|
I would male and French.
(I would be disappointed if it turned out to be American southern creative.) |

Are you in the DC area? I think many of us still just think of Bryce Harper primarily when we hear that name.
I'd also probably think of Bryce Canyon before Bryce Dallas Howard. On the SSN list, Bryce doesn't make the top 1000 for girls but is in the 200s for boys. So definitely much more of a boy name. Is this the same OP as the Blake thread? These two names have extremely similar vibes. Both even have a famous actress with the name (BDH and Blake Lively), have the same internal structure and first initial, and both are, I think, very boy-leaning names that maybe have gained some traction with girls without shaking their popularity for boys. |
