| I own a Prada and Chanel (gifts from DH) but keep going back to using the longchamp raincoat bag I bought a decade ago because it’s the lightest and most comfortable for keeping on my shoulder when I’m walking around. But it looks sloppy and cheap and I need an upgrade I will actually use daily. Any suggestions for a lightweight shoulder bag that looks good? At least $2k and must have a zip closure. |
| So it must be over $2000? Interesting. |
| The lightness is because it’s nylon, so start there. Lots of brands work in nylon. |
| Lol. I love the minimum budget. Op, can't you just call a stylist at Neiman's and be done with it? |
|
I'm not sure it exists. I have been looking too. I have Birkin, LV and Prada that I rarely carry in favor of my lightweight Herve Chapelier 925F shopping bag that costs a fraction of the others.
I'll be watching this in case there are some other ideas. I keep looking at Godard, but no zipper closure. |
Op- I think that’s one of the reason it looks sloppy though, the nylon. Even Prada nylon bags looks cheap, messy and ugly to me. Are there no lightweight leather bags? Would like something with more structure. |
| I have wondered about any of the Bottega Veneta bags. |
Certainly not even close to as light as nylon, no. Canvas? But it also looks sloppy quickly. |

Kaai bags look so cool - https://kaaibags.com/
Sadly not expensive enough for you. |

3 lbs!!! Did you not understand the assignment? |
| A Goyard tote, the model with the zipper. Artois maybe? |
| I would like the answer to this too! |
I thought of this too but OP wants structure, which, Artois will certainly not help with. Frankly structure itself makes a bag heavy. |
| What a bizarre requirement. |
|
Large, structured and mostly leather = heavy, plus you tend to carry more = even more heavy.
Try LV canvas/Neverfull? Canvas is lighter. Try a crossbody bag. lighter but not very structured nor super large- Loewe puzzle bag BV bags Gucci camera bags - the fabric one is quite light |
