Scattergrams for more than just our school?

Is there any way to get Scattergrams (or something similar) for a wider pool than just our school? Say, for the entire county?

There are only a handful colleges that have enough applicants at our school to show Scattergram data on Naviance. There are several other schools DC is interested in, but they only have 6-8 applicants and Naviance won’t show the info. I know data from other schools may not be perfectly relevant, but it’d be better than nothing, especially if it at least comes from the same school system.

Not that I’m aware of. I’d love that though. Best bet is to ask a friend at another school if they could look it up for you. If it’s a selective liberal arts college, I’d guess Whitman would have more data. WJ has the benefit of having more students.

Why do you think it’s all that helpful? By all accounts the first filters AOs apply is to compare against your own school.

My DS’s school apparently has “go-to” colleges that seem to really like students from his HS. They routinely take multiple ones even if their GPA is below the 25% mark.

That sounds more like how it works at private high schools. Here we’re talking about a public school system that largely offers identical classes and shares the same grading scale and policies.

Looking at the Common Data Set is the next best source.

Niche offers a kind of scattergram based on Niche users who submit their data and results for each school.

I have a kid at BCC and that is what I have noticed too. There are certain schools that like BCC students and they get in with stats that show a "lower" GPA ,really not with tests taken into account, than what is displayed elsewhere online. However, I have also noticed these tend to be SLAC that look at rigor above or equal to GPA and that those students who are accepted to those SLAC might have had very rigorous transcripts with IB and hard AP classes listed. There is a lot still unknown even when looking at Naviance. But this theme of certain schools liking particular outcomes from high schools also applies to public schools, not just private, which has been surprising to me. I am curious where you see the 25 percent GPA info for college acceptances listed? I have found that info hard to come by.

But they don't all offer that same courses or have the same teachers who grade equally. That is not true.
