NCAA D1 Women's Conference Tournament Qualification

Didn't realize how short the NCAA soccer season is when you don't qualify for your conference tournament and have no chance at an NCAA tournament bid. Many women's teams season ended yesterday.

Just like a normal Fall season for HS and travel clubs.

Looks like Duke women are done already. I think they were ranked in the top 3 at the beginning of the year. Maryland is done as well.

Yeah our HS season, like colleges, starts 2nd to last week in August. Runs until end of October. My son had his last game yesterday.

Yes. The other thing that is crazy is even big name D1 schools would consider themselves lucky to get in the tournament 1 out of 4 years.

NCAA tournament selection show is today at 4pm. There were some big wins in the conference tournaments...especially Iowa.

And even if you did qualify for your conference tournament - you likely wont get into the NCAA Tourny. Lots and lots of teams in the top of their conference not going to the NCAA tourny.

Because it does not matter to the school. Seriously college soccer is an after thought. There is no pressure to win. You can have a losing record for 10 years as a coach and you are good to go. Look at the pay at Maryland- Head Coach Women's Soccer at University Of Maryland is between $71,369 and $118,775.
