I suggest West Virginia US Senator Joe Manchin.

Other than the times where they bucked against their respective parties' positions, what makes either one of them qualified?

Cheney is younger than dirt. Also, she brings some balance and at least some integrity. Balance meaning she is not a Democrat, not Biden.

Manchin was born in 1947. So he is 53 + 23, 76 years old.

She’s a good candidate if she’d run as an independent for the explicit purpose of siphoning votes from Trump.
