Vegetarian & gluten free Italian catering

Anonymous
I'm hosting a gathering for 20 people that includes a lot of picky eaters and food intolerances. The two cuisine options that everyone should be ok with are Italian and Indian. Any suggestions for Italian catering that also has gluten free options?

I almost think it would be easier to do gluten free Indian because of the rice.

For Italian...maybe something Northern Italian with polenta?

Go with Indian. GF is pretty easy bc entrees can be eaten with rice - so no naan/breads. For Italian, GF is naturally harder bc so many of the dishes are pasta based. I mean you may be able to find a caterer that uses GF pasta but I feel like you'd be checking for each and every dish that the pasta is GF - lasagna, ravoli etc. Though I guess there is italian cuisine that is more fish based - but my sense is it's still eaten with pasta.

Gregorio’s in Reston or Potomac has catered GF for me. They can do any pasta or salad.
