Do you use every room every day?

We have a relatively small house (2600 sq ft plus an unfinished basement) and we use every single room every single day. We have 3 kids and have a 4 bedroom/2.5 bath house with one full time work from home spouse and one who works partially at home.

I think about my dads house that is 4600 sq ft that he lives in with his wife. They will sometimes go a month without going upstairs! Master is on the first floor and he only uses like 40% of the house on a given day.

Do you use your whole house? Or do some rooms sit untouched for days?

I live in an 850 sqft condo, so yeah, I used every room every day. And I don't consider 2600 sqft to be small!

Lol at relatively small. I live in a 1200 sq ft house and yes. Definitely!

I live in an apartment, so yes.

We did when my kids were younger. But now that one is out of the house and the others are older, we don’t. We have an extra bedroom that doesn’t get much use. Our dining room doesn’t get much use. And our living room and family rooms can go weeks without anyone using them but then will see tons of use.

We also have a beach house so we spend lots of time there which accounts for why some rooms aren’t used much anymore at our regular house.

2200sf house and we do use every room daily.

My parents are similar to yours, they have a home that's 3,000+sf. The upstairs are the guest rooms and storage so they rarely go up there. For all real purposes they live on the first floor only.

We haven’t used our dining room since last Christmas. Nobody ever uses the living room.

1 kid and 2 adults that WFH full time in a rowhouse. Aside from the spare bedroom, which I walk through to my office and keep shoes in, every room gets used daily.

Yes - we love our home. It has so many charming quirks and different spaces/ nooks and various members of family (plus many pets) prefer different spots.

It is a little crowded though. The dining table is covered in hobby/ craft stuff so we eat in kitchen.

We were so grateful for our lovely home during the pandemic when we were all here night and day .

Goodness no. I enter my living and dining room to dust. Empty nester with a 4 bedroom house.

I'm and empty nester so no but in the summers when they are home from college yes.

It's funny I just asked my cleaning person if they could cut the cleaning to my master bed and bath, kitchen and family room ...from the whole house. They are in and out in an hour.

3400 sf with two wfh adults and one tween - and yesterday yes every room (and functional space in the open concept areas) was used.

Including the garage which is used every day as a home gym. It sounds insane, but we’d actually like an addition to have some bonus space because we don’t have any multipurpose or extra space - every spot in our house has a claimed function.

Yes, we live in a 2-bedroom condo with one child and we use every single room every single day.

Our dream is to live in a 3-bedroom house and I still think we'd use every single room every single day, but perhaps we'd not use them all at the same time quite so often.
