| I feel like the convenience of not having a wire is outweighed by constantly losing and dropping them and how expensive they are to replace. Anyone else? |
| This is not even a question. Who uses wires anymore? A |
| Constantly losing and dropping them isn’t an issue for me. When I take them out of my ears I put them in their case. |
|
I like them because my hand isn’t catching on the wire. I can also charge my phone and listen so I feel more freedom from the phone. If you misplaced them, you can find them via sound.
I had to replace a broken AirPod and it was expensive. You might have to buy the AirPod Pro versus the AirPod because of the ear fit so that could cost you even more. |
This. |
| No doubt worth it. The fact that the case charges them is a major benefit. |

Once iphone got rid of the headphone jack, I found that I needed to replace the dongle to connect the phone to wired headphones about every 4-6 months. Sound quality would degrade and then the dongle would stop working completely.
I tried wired headphones with a lightning adapter but the sound quality was terrible. So I got airpods. Presumably, they will work longer and more reliably. And I'm ultimately glad to get rid of the cord, though pretty annoyed by the process that landed me here. |
| The noise canceling feature is good. I think they are worth it if you take care of them properly. You have to be disciplined about using the case etc. |
| I go for two walks a day in a major city and probably spot two or three per week. You know how many times I’ve lost my wire ones? Never. |
|
I use both - it's a toss up. DC said the best part is not fumbling with the ever-tangled "wire"
I have lost them but found them again (inside case) Dropped one in water once but it worked again once dried out. How many wired ones can you buy for the same price? Get them on Prime day or free with an APPLE purchase. |
Do you mean how many you drop? Are you using the AirPods or AirPods Pro? The AirPods with slipped out of my ear and dropped, but the AirPods Pro fit much better, and they haven’t fallen out of my ears. |
| I've had several over the years, use them daily, and have never lost one or had one fall out. You take them out and put them in their case where they get charged. |
| They hurt my ears too much to use. I probably needed the airpod pros. |
| I don't have these problems. Love mine. I've had the same pair for almost 3 years. Maybe yours don't fit right? |
| Absolutely not. Wires are fine. Expensive products which are effectively disposable because they use non-replaceable batteries are not. |
