Seems like a lot of couples on here marry quite young (early to mid 20’s), which obviously isn’t as common in the big cities.

| I got married at 23 and I'm from Paris. My circle is pretty traditional in that respect - my Parisian friends from college all married in their mid-20s. When I moved to DC, though I was the youngest mother by far, and met women who had advanced in their careers first, then gotten married and had kids. |

| I think it is quite the opposite. Most people marry later here. I don’t know anyone who married in their early twenties. I got married at 29 and I was the first in our circles. |

Generational. Older people got married younger. I was an outlier amongst my friends and sisters. I got married at 33. They all got married in their early to mid 20s.
Today, I'm seeing my nieces get married in their 30s. I'm 53. |
