Casting about for a reasonable weeknight recipe to serve out of town guests. What about Chicken Marbella? Thanks for other ideas!

Chicken Shawarma. I like Sam Sifton’s recipe from the NYT.

Can't beat baked ziti, salad, and garlic bread. Great for all seasons!

Do Ina Garten's! It's great. Also endorse the NYT chicken shawarma.

Ugh so starchy and basic.

I might try to pull in some fall flavors, like a butternut squash ravioli with sage & brown butter, or pork tenderloin with apples and a cinnamon-maple glaze. But chicken marbella is always a winner, and does work well in the cooler weather, so there's nothing wrong with that option!

I love a good fall harvest salad with apples, cranberries, blue cheese, walnuts.

And then perhaps chicken milanese or pork chops with bread crumbs and a side of roasted brussel sprouts with bacon, and maybe roast potatoes?

Then pumpkin pie or apple crisp for dessert.
