That was going to be my suggestion — do snickerdoodles but everywhere it calls for cinnamon, use cinnamon/nutmeg/allspice/ginger/cloves/garam masala blended. Sub some of the liquid out for black tea if you want to get a little bitterness/caffeine kick. |

https://choosingchia.com/chewy-chai-snickerdoodles/ I made this one and for the spice blend, I used 1/2 t. Cardamom instead of 1/4 t. I also used 4 T butter + 4 T shortening for the dough instead of 1 stick of butter. I added 2 t chai spice blend to the cookie dough and for rolling, I used 2 t chai spice blend + 1/4 c sugar. They came out really good with some spice to it. The cardamom flavor is delish. Very nice with a cup of tea. |
