I’ve just returned to the gym and need a plan. Please recommend any strength training programs or apps that I can use. It would’ve great to just have something on my phone to tell me exactly what to do.
I’m 45, two kids, and work FT so I need a great bang for my buck. I find I just don’t do much strength training bc I just don’t know what to do! Help! |
Are you a man or a woman? If the latter, I love the Get Mom Strong program. Former competitive Cross Fitter who worked with pelvic floor PTs to create a workout program that focuses on rebuilding your core and building full-body strength. I used to hate strength training and now I enjoy it. |
There is a woman on You Tube named Caroline Girvan. She has a bunch of programs on her channel. The Iron series is 6 weeks 5 days per week of strength training. She has other ones that incorporate more cardio in the mix. I highly recommend her. She recently released an app but she has a ton of free content on You Tube. |
NP. Very interested in answers here. Just headed over to my app store and I see so many of the apps have in-app purchases. How much do those full versions end up costing? Not into in installing some free sample only to uninstall when the usable version is too expensive. |
+1, though she's sort of intense. Another good you tube program is Heather Robertson. |
Jordan Syatt Fitness Inner Circle.
https://www.sfinnercircle.com/issues/ The app is web based so you can't just find it in the app store. New workouts every month. Option to train 3 or 4 days a week. So either 2 upper and 2 lower days or 1 upper, one lower and 1 full day. Video demos with great cues and explanation for all exercises. Combo of barbell and dumbbell exercises. |
