Tell me about Mark Pierzchala. I cannot stomach voting for Monique Ashton after some unethical behavior by her as part of an elementary school PTA several years ago. If she would take advantage there, I can't trust her. Trying to decide whether to vote against her or sit it out.

Can you tell other Rockville voters what the unethical behavior was? I haven’t been thrilled by her on City Council actually.

Mark is fine. He’s very bright and tends to be above board but he’s not going to bring any new ideas to the table either. He hates the current mayor and they tend to fight a lot.

I've been disappointed in Mark! He seems to be all about the numbers and not supportive of what the community wants. I watch some of the Mayor city Council meetings on channel 11 Monday nights because we have a project in my neighborhood that is quite controversial in my impression of him is he doesn't seem to look past numbers. Just my opinion.

And I was actually impressed by Monique. So I'm interested in what unethical thing you're talking about as currently she has my vote with a hard no for Mark

I like his data-based approach. I think it's more appropriate than just listening to the loudest voices who say they represent "what the community wants."

Agree. And he doesn’t just listen to the same people in the same neighborhood.

I thought Monique was a shoo-in, but after watching the city debates, I’m not sure.

Still leaning toward voting fo her, but I think the race will be close.

I met Monique at an event and she really doesn’t come off well. She speaks in complete circles and doesn’t really say anything. My husband asked her one question (it was about development) and she couldn’t answer it and just kept saying “schools.”
