Recommend your rain jacket - criteria within

I need a new rain jacket, but need something with the following:

- generous hood that does not slip down, even with a ponytail or bun. This is non negotiable.
- mid-thigh length
- somewhat breathable (I know this is hard with a rain jacket, but my body runs warm)
- no big or obvious logos
- under $150

Do you have something that you like, that fits the above? Please recommend what you have bought and liked!

I think you're just going to have to try some out, because your requirements for big hood and breathable are somewhat subjective. But here are a few:

https://www.nordstrom.com/s/the-north-face-city-breeze-waterproof-rain-jacket/5794780 -- I have a NorthFace raincoat (not this one, they don't make mine anymore) and I find it super breathable and the perfect length, so I'd check this one out.

https://www.nordstrom.com/s/rain-coat-with-removable-hood/7546107 -- I think that hood looks really big, not sure if this is breathable

I've been really happy with my Marmot. I had a lot of similar requirements as you.

Helly Hansen or other Scandinavian brands. Not breathable, but mine is all oven from the bottom.

I like my North Face rain jacket but it isn’t long.

I’ve see longer ones at Athleta and Lululemon that look functional and cute.

I have the longer version with the zip out lining and absolutely love it.

I have a shorter old version of that North Face rain jacket and I love it. It doesn’t yell rain jacket. I spend a lot of time in the UK and a rainy part of the US and it is my go-to rain jacket for any activity that isn’t outdoorsy/hiking.

I have an old REI rain jacket (probably 6 years ago or so) that’s a little more slim and has a belt. It’s amazing. So lightweight and I get so many compliments on it.

My REI raincoat is 23 years old and counting- still in great shape, looks great too

Columbia, Arkadia II. I find it breathable enough - it has a mesh liner, so doesn't cling to the body. Amazon has them, so you can easily try and return if you don't like it.

Any of these work for a plus sized woman?
