What are the best fun/cool/clever/interesting house features you've seen, have in your home, or dream about adding? Secret passages, lofts, reading nooks, hidden rooms, alcove beds? Or maybe for you it's something totally different? Please share! (And do include pictures if you're so inclined!)

Fruit trees. Would have taken a decade for me to establish.
Built in book cases. So much storage. No one ever says there's too much storage in a house.
Foldable glass walls.

I almost bought a house on a steep slope that needed a French drain. My plan was to install a stone-lines culvert/drainage for the drain that would run down the slope in front when it rained. I also hoped to install a long ground-level slide embedded into the lawn.

I was a little obsessed with this mid century modern house that had a tile foyer with a fountain that sort of ran down one wall and a lot of plants. I am too anxious and would worry about leaks and mold but I bet the sound was really soothing.

For our sinks, you use a pedal to turn on and off the water, like surgeons scrubbing in.

Would never want an indoor water feature. Neve never never. Bugs, mold, you name it.

Friend in Florida has a house with an indoor glass wall that opens to the screened in swimming pool.
