Wow. I was wondering why VA schools seem so f-ed up.

Of course the conservatives are to blame.

In particular, the VA Democratic Party led the "massive resistance" efforts. Read the history closely.

Don’t need to read it bc I already know about it. People in this area fail to understand that VA is a southern state and the extent of racism is far more insidious than other southern states. It’s racism wrapped up in “good intentions”

You need to understand that Republicans and Democrats were essentially the opposite of what they are today. The resistant democrats back then are today's Republicans.
