Amazing Race Season 35!

Who else is excited to watch the new season of AMR!

Next week is going to be a huge TV week for me:
- Amazing Race, Survivor on 9/27,
- Golden Bachelor, Bachelor in Paradise 9/28

I am very excited to watch the new season of TAR but have no interest in those other shows.

My adult son and I watch TAR together while texting, it's been a long time and I miss that. When it airs next week we will be together on a family trip so it will be great to watch together in person.

I lived with him and his GF for awhile in 2020 and we totally enjoyed binging seasons 1 through most recent then.

DH and I have been doing the same! rewatching all the season. We're currently on season 20.

DD (11) and I watch AR and Survivor together. I like that we have that bond, it’s brought up some good conversations.

The Amazing Race is commonly referred to by the TAR acronym online and by show aficionados, fans and those associated with the show. Sometimes it's also referred to as AR.

I'm looking forward to it! I hope the 90-minute format has enough good content.

Also, I feel bad for the season that was filmed before this one. It was already edited to 60-minute episodes before CBS put in the call for 90-minute ones (strike). I read that instead of going back and re-editing they filmed a whole new season. Imagine being part of the original Season 35 and having to wait even longer to share the show with family and friends, get your 15-minutes or fame or that you won a million dollars!

I'm so excited!

I loved TAR when it first came on the air and for many early seasons but then stopped watching at some point. I got into it again during the pandemic when I streamed multiple seasons with my son. Since then, I've been watching the new seasons on CBS with my now 13 year old DS. And last season, my mother - who lives thousands of miles away - got into TAR again after not watching it for many years. We had great fun comparing notes on our favorite, and least favorite teams, each week. We're looking forward to doing the same with season 35.

I stopped watching when it seemed like many of the teams were influencers or YouTubers rather than just ordinary folks. But I'm happy to give it another try.
