Sandler doesn’t like people touching him. Especially a “never was” wanna be like weirdo Jenn. She’s always been weird. Sorry. It’s true. Thinks she’s too good for us commoners. And has an unhealthy relationship with her dwi son and her own dad. He gave her this weird false sense that she’s better than everybody.

I think it was actually tyler that touched him. The pp was talking about how his latest insta post was a tribute to snl and sandler and pointing out there was zero response to her sappy three years post.

I think they're both gay. Would they be less annpying if they just came out and admitted they're into the same sex? Prob. not but id respect them more for honestty

Jen Hatmaker is getting candid about her divorce in a new memoir.

The New York Times bestselling author, podcaster and influencer is focusing the lens inward in her upcoming memoir, entitled Awake, set to be published in September. Her story will address her 26 years of marriage and its downfall, social media's role in her life and her "messy and magical midlife rebirth."

Hatmaker's memoir begins in the middle of a July night in 2020, when she awoke to her husband in their bed, calling another woman.

"In the months that followed, she went from being a shiny, funny, popular leader, to a divorced wreck on antidepressants and anti-anxiety meds parenting five kids alone with no clue about her own bank accounts," reads the book's official synopsis. "Having led millions of women for over a decade — urging them to embrace authenticity, find radical agency and create healthy relationships — this seemed nothing less than total failure."

Awake spans the course of 40 years, including moments from Hatmaker's childhood, relationship and parenthood.

The memoir candidly demystifies the "disorienting upheaval" of middle age — including marriage, religion, culture and the grief that occurs when any (or all) of them change.

"Drawing on all her resources — from without and from within — Jen dares to question the systems beneath the whole house of cards, and to reckon with the myths, half-truths and lies that brought her to this point," the synopsis adds.

I have followed Jen for years and love everything about her. I, too, went through a public divorce with my pastor husband of 35, and a challenge of my faith. I lost my whole group of friends from our church. and my purpose and calling. A friend and I went on her cruise last year. She’s genuine in all she says and does. I love her candidness in how she survived and in her parenting, friendships, family, and new love. I can’t wait to read her memoir!!

I’ve been following Jen for the past few years, and I love everything she does and shares. It’s all straight from her heart, and it’s REAL. Jen is like the mother I never had—her wisdom, honesty, and warmth have shaped me in ways she’ll never know. BEST PERSON EVER. Can’t wait to read Awake! ❤️

I am SO excited! I've seen Jen live 2x and while our paths do not carry the same "story" her awakening and gift of affirming others has been one of the strongest pillars in my own life of motherhood, faith upheaval and honoring the gift of each day. Thank you Jen! SO SO excited for this!

I used to love Jen and have followed her over the last decade. In the last year, she has become all about peddling crap to her followers (gummies, vitamins, clothes, purses, etc), so I finally unfollowed her.

Everyone has to make a living. It is quicker to scroll through things you aren't interested in than to make a post complaining about it.

“ Drawing on all her resources — from without and from within — Jen dares to question the systems beneath the whole house of cards”

This is such bad writing. The systems beneath the whole house of cards?? Either speak literally (systems) or go with the metaphor (house of cards). Don’t combine them in one over long sentence and count yourself clever.

I know the publishing company wrote this, not Jen, but it does not speak well of the book’s quality.

And while I’m at it, can we talk about what bad advice “Leave nothing for the swim back” is? There is no swimming (or running or biking or hiking) scenario where that is a good idea. So it doesn’t work as a metaphor for writing either. If she meant “Don’t hold back. Put it all out there” then she should have found a metaphor that works like that.

“I have watched her navigate the last few years with poise and dignity.”

Are poise and dignity in the room with us?

More like devolved.

First thing I thought of when I saw it!!

Also, her "super vulnerable" post about releasing her book:

Um.. you guys.. (smack) wow... umm... so yesterday was a whole thing. I... um (smack) ... my friends had to talk me off a cliff.... (that's a little cringey--- like was she really thinking of causing harm to herself?) so.. this book is so real, so raw, so honest, so vulnerable, so authentic. You will never believe the things that I tell you. Um... (smack) I have written this for you, my beloveds. This coming of middle age manifesto about how to navigate all of it - faith, perimenopause, betrayal, finding love again. This is my gift to you.

Um, ma'am. We do know. You have already told us. Growing up in a patriarchal system with the world's best dad who encouraged you to do and be everything you wanted. Being hurt by the church that you built. Body image issues. Your online fabulous but secretly troubled marriage. We know. And we will not be pre-ordering.
