Lilly Pulitzer is junk.

I could not start to guess how much money I have spent on LP. I think Tommy Bahama bought them and the quality is junk yet the prices are still high. We have some vintage Lilly that we still enjoy but I can’t currently bring myself to buy anything.
Is LP still a thing or is the quality effecting its popularity?

It's ugly and screams "look at me, I'm wearing Lilly". If that's important in your social circle, carry on.

It’s still a thing for many people. I buy a few pieces at the semi-annual sale but never pay full price. I still have plenty of older white label pieces that I wear. I’m in a FB group with women who go crazy for it and buy new things every time they release new prints. Too much for me but whatever floats their boat.

Why would you take the time to respond if you do not have a horse in this race?

Looks great on a toddler / kid. Grown woman? Not so much.

Only in Palm Beach

I like it, but don’t wear it much anymore because it has a time and a place. But I am 0% surprised to hear that it’s gone down in quality, like just about everything lately.

I love it for springtime. Also for bridal and baby showers.

Funny, I have recently discovered Tommy Bahama and find their quality to be quite decent for the price. I love some of their linen dresses, and also got a couple pairs of shorts there this summer. So if they bought Lilly that seems like not a bad thing.

I was in a Lilly store a couple of weeks ago and was surprised at the colors for the fall clothes - lots of dark green solids, even some black. It didn't feel as Lilly like, which wasn't a bad thing after the neon years. I don't like the neon stuff but do have a fair amount of navy solids, and some prints from years back. I wear it regularly at the beach but don't even bring it back with me to DC. I haven't bought a new piece for a couple of years so can't comment on quality changes.

I think the silk shirts are nice for work. The patterns can be a bit bright, but they work well with an otherwise plain outfit. I’ve only bought them from consignment stores, so not even sure that they are still sold. The ones I have are excellent quality.

We?

Affecting. Not effecting.

The only time I buy it anymore is to match with my dds. They'll grow up quickly and won't want to match with me. But yeah, I really don't like the new prints. And shifts aren't the best on my body type (petite with larger bust).

I personally like this about it but I just get the shift dresses used on Poshmark. I appreciate the over the top vibe and I find it to be kind of vintage, kitschy, and fun. No way I’d pay full price though
