John is too stupid to realize that if Sarah and Samy had not left, he isn't in DC. Neither is Danni for that matter.

Seriously, it depends on which part of the DC area one wants to live in. There are somewhat cheaper spots but it isn't in hip areas. Woodbridge has got a lot of restaurants that various parts of Fairfax County have had forever, which helps those residents. Central Park has quite a few things (that in Fredericksburg). I think some people live in hip areas because don't want to have a car. Others want to be able to walk to a grocery store, a bar, etc.

NYC is a lot worse than DC. San Diego is expensive as well.

All I can say is karma for the haters of the Kane Show. You called for folks on the show to be fired and look at STM. They all got fired. Talk about karma.....

No one on here knows what happened behind the scenes, but a pattern is a pattern.

I suspect that station pays very well, considering the travel some of the DJ's do on a monthly basis.

From reports I read DC 107.3 wasn't doing well overall. Apparently the station is gonna go back to AC.

That'll never happen. Not with the way thing ended with Mel. She basically said recently he did the same thing to her on air that he did to Natasha

Dear STM Squad, family and friends,

I have some disappointing news to report: this morning was the final show of Sarah, Ty, and Mel on DC’s 107.3.

The station is moving in a different direction, and those of us on the morning show – me, Ty, Mel, Samy K, and Flounder – will no longer be entertaining and inspiring you from 6 to 10 AM on this station.

To say I’m saddened would be an understatement – I truly enjoyed working with some of my close friends like Mel, Samy K, and Flounder on a daily basis, and developing new relationships with Ty, Luis, Jeremiah, and countless others who worked behind the scenes to support the show.

Perhaps more significantly, I’ll miss the daily interaction with YOU – every single one of you who tweeted, texted, and called us to share your stories and opinions, and who attended our listener events and private switch parties. I loved connecting with you on a daily basis, sharing my life and having you weigh in – on both the good and the bad.

To those of you who “made the switch” and stayed – I can’t thank you enough for being part of what we created. I will be on “Good Day DC” on Fox 5 tomorrow (Tuesday Nov. 10th) morning at 7:50 AM, and hope to share more.
