The problem isn't someone just earnestly living their life by doing the shopping, paying their bills, holding down a job, and dressing the way they want. Leave them alone. It's weird to bother people who aren't harming you.

The problem is JD "I hate women" Vance getting down with his eyeliner and drag, and trying to control people who aren't harming anyone.

Either it's all weird or it's not. You can't have it both ways. The constant jokes about Vance's "eyeliner" and his Halloween costume implies you think it's weird when a man appears feminine and it's something to mock. That was the whole point of the tweet.

Nope. Sorry, dude. He's yours, and you have to keep him.

This “both ways” comment is true. We want to respect everyone - respect this …but not that. So many social decisions, boundaries or different perspectives to contend with in one nation under many gods.

Offensive, isn’t it?

?

Trump and Vance are weird people with weird politics that normal people don’t like or support.

They are riding a wave. A wave of people who feel left out and marginalized. Let’s see how they do. It’s very interesting.

So far they are all validated and bolstered by a major branch of US Govt (S Court).

Let’s see what shakes out -

+1

They are weird. Name calling. Acting like 5 year olds. Offending everyone about everything imaginable.

They are in the race for the President for god’s sake. Grow up!!!

The weird thing is both Trump and Vance say things that will get the most support from their base. They have no morals or values. They want votes. That’s all they care about. They were Democrats before but found if they say things Republicans want to hear, it will get them support. They are fear mongers talking about illegals, the Wall, socialism, etc. Their followers are all idiots.

Neither of them are friends with nor associate with normal people. Trump lives in a gilded country club. Vance wrote a memoir about how much he despises white low and middle class voters, then moved to California to be mentored by a gay billionaire.

They are grossly out of touch, thus their messaging is falling flat. They can’t successfully pander even if they try because they don’t understand their base.

They keep living up to the “weird” title…

I wonder how conservatives who used IVF to have kids feel about this line of attack. My guess is most will overlook it for “policies” and tax cuts.

Oh, that's just really sad.

No, that’s really weird. They have worn diapers, put maxi pads on their ears and are now carrying specimen cups. These people literally had to go purchase specimen cups. They printed little labels and are carrying them around as if they’re carrying JD’s semen. Something is seriously weird in these people’s brains and I don’t see Donald or JD doing anything to dissuade it. They’re weird people.

Creepy and cruel. What’s wrong with these Republicans? Is this how they were raised?

So, I don't think it will make a difference anymore, but I am a little surprised there was never an attempt to use this against Trump. The guy has literally lived in the bubble of Queens and Manhattan his entire life. And if not in his gilded NYC palace, other commercial properties like his golf resorts. There's no stories of Trump being normal and going hiking, hunting, camping, fishing, coaching Little League, or ANYTHING. He is actually very un-American in that respect.

It's been truly fascinating (and sad) to watch so many people worship Trump based on their own internalization of what they want a leader to look like. Like a mass delusion personalized to each one of his supporters.

Were these people dropped on the head as children?

This is what I don’t understand. How does their base relate to trump / Vance at all? Is it an aspirational thing?
I read someone that trump is a poor person’s idea of a rich person. So maybe it’s that. Still, trump / Vance still = east coast elites.
