What happened? The only time I ever saw staff was when they locked me in.

A mom was yelling at Park staff last season while parked in the fire lane. They kept asking her to move numerous practices and she refused because she apparently pays taxes and can park wherever the hell she wants. The coach refused to get involved. I wish they'd called the cops on her; but I get them deferring to their boss. They don't get paid enough to do with insane people.

That's what they're trying to do with Community Church in Ashburn, but no information has followed so either it's still in talks or it fell through.

How are they going to use community church in Ashburn when community church already has a partnership with VRSC? You FCV parents will listen to anything that AB says to you šŸ˜‚

Well, Revolution uses the CC/VA Academy facility for futsal and other things (not to mention a ā€œconnectionā€ between them and the guy who bankrolls Revolution). So you can probably put 2 + 2 together and come up with a few ideas about what probably happened to talks between them and FCV.

I’m not affiliated with FCV FWIW, but that certainly might be the case. VRSC claims - or at least used to claim - that they were about committing to and building the soccer community in Loudoun, drawing a distinction between them and Loudoun Soccer, who is/was about controlling the soccer community and all of the resources that go with it. VRSC now does the same BS that Loudoun has done for years, focusing on quashing competitors and building their club with money, connections and politics rather than by providing better quality training and coaching.

What club isn't trying to do this on some level? I'd say they are getting better staff in this winter than fcv is, but that's just my opinion.

Getting better staff is great. Blocking other clubs from field space is BS.

While it sucks for fcv, they have expanded their program and need the space for their own teams who if you've been there are crammed on space. Unless I'm mistaken, they are not kicking them out early but just not renewing the contract, right?

I'd say that's a far cry from what Loudoun does, but they are much newer and have plenty of time to get worse for sure.

You must have missed the post where a PP insinuated that VRSC may have had something to do with FCV not getting a deal done with a local church for field space.

They really do. I saw it first hand as a parent. I was shocked at how petty and unprofessional they behaved when a great coach left.

So, you're saying soccer clubs are basically a business...?

Most businesses focus, first and foremost, on providing a quality product or service. VRSC started that way, but has morphed into Loudoun Soccer 2.0…just with worse soccer than the club they want to topple.

Another day has passed with no field announcement.

They need to just give up the GA status
Anonymous
I predict having GA will lead to Revolution being a dominant Loudoun club. Loudoun is losing out to its competition ever since they stole millions from recreational league players. The county is still getting unofficial kickbacks from the club (Loudoun) so they get priority wherever they want it. We need a full investigation of the field allocation status and following the money to county coffers.
