| Early onset Alzheimer's Disease? I'm 49. |
| You’re probably a robot. |
| I've read enough Philip K Dick to know that that's just what you'd say if you were a robot. |
Happens to me often. It's so annoying. Not a sign of dementia IMO. If it were dementia you likely would not be coming here to write about it. |
| If you are doing it from a government computer, it may not go through no matter how hard you try given ad blockers, cookie blockers, etc. |
| I'm so bad at them too. I'm even bad at the photo ones. |
+1. Are you SURE you're not a robot? This sounds like something a robot would say. |
I'm pretty sure I'm not a robot. I was reading to my daughter and my contacts got blurry so could only read one chapter. Wouldn't my robot eyes be perfect? |
You should just have the book, along with millions others, already uploaded into your memory; no vision needed. |

It is normal to fail at captcha sometimes. |
| I get them right about half the time. Between my not-as-good-as-it-used-to-be eyesight and ADHD, I have a hard time managing to get it right on my phone. |
| The captcha photos have extremely poor resolution. It can take me several tries. |
So this is proof that I'm not a robot. I've only memorized a dozen children's picture books. Or if I am a robot, I'm a 49 yr old one and the tech wasn't that good when I was made. I ate dinner with my family tonight. Proof? |
| I don't know I think some of them are pretty bad. Like if you're selecting squares with crosswalks, and you pick the square at the very edge with the slightest fringe of white crosswalk - I don't think it wants you to pick that, or at least those ones with technicalities like that seem to be the times I fail. |
Not if you were like the robots in Asimov's Bicentennial Man. The protagonist adapted his robot body to "age" so that he does not outlive his true love. Also, Juliana Tainer in Star Trek TNG was adapted to behave like human aging. Maybe you're one of those types of robots. |
