Finally!

This is a small thing in this world of losing x number of pounds in however many days but back when I was single I was 165. That was probably too small but I said I was proud of myself for getting down to that weight.

Then I got a job and got married and hit 215 again. That happened with my wifes pregnancy but I couldn't seem to get back down while she could. Well. I could get to 180, but no further. It's like it was a stop sign.

But I've broken through that barrier and have been at 175 for about a week. I'm still deciding if I want to lose more vs start lifting to build more muscles

But finally

Good for up OP!! I know it's a great feeling to finally break through a plateau. My DH has been on his weight loss journey since February - after several attempts over the years at losing weight. He's down 43 lbs, plans to lose another 15-20 lbs.

WRT building muscle, you're pretty darn close to your single-days weight. This would be a great way to maintain what you've already accomplished, plus as we age muscle plays an even more critical role outside of our weight. It helps with balance and agility. Super important later in life.

I know.

I don't know how I feel. I'm partially wanting to get back to that weight but partially hearing my friends from when I was single saying I was to skinny, hence the muscle. I've never wanted a muscular frame though that's why I chose to lose weight instead of just bulking up.

Now I'm more focused on trying to keep things like my weight down and my heart healthy and all those late in life diseases that are silent killers not to do that to me.
