Virginia’s score: 96.97 out of 100

- Virginia drivers were third most likely to report that another driver has exited their vehicle to yell at or fight with them (50.5%), honked at them in frustration (78.5%) and yelled at them, insulted them, cursed at them or made threats (89.5%).

- Drivers in the Old Dominion State tied with Oklahoma drivers for being fourth most likely to report that another driver has cut them off on purpose (59.5%).

- Virginia drivers also tied with Missouri drivers for being fifth most likely to experience rude or offensive gestures while driving (67%).

Forced off the road: 10.50%
Blocked from changing lanes: 52.00%
Cut off on purpose: 59.50%
Yelled at, Insulted or Threatened: 89.50%

Lots of VA drivers taking "Don't tread on me" a bit too seriously.

Seems like a lot of angry people in Va. Only AZ, RI, and WV are less angry than VA drivers.

And before you ask, MD is #19. DC not ranked.

MAGA "don't tread on me" drivers are crazy. Like, they're looking for an excuse to pull the trigger.

Survey was flawed.

VA just has a large % of whiners who can't drive.

This is determined by location, not by where one's vehicle is registered. Most of the insane drivers I see in Alexandria have MD plates, coming over via the WWB. 90% of the drivers on Rt. 1 are Maryland drivers.

LOL. I can't decide whether you're hilarious or just sad.

VA drivers are angry and like to blame everyone else, according to the list.

If the ^PP had bothered to read the article, it says , "survey of 10,000 licensed drivers and compared all 50 states across nine key metrics." The licensed driver would indicate what state they live in, not what state they were driving in when they became aggressive while driving.

VA drivers aren't living up to their motto of "VA is for lovers". I guess it could be "lovers of driving aggressively, yelling at people and flipping them off".

It just means that VA drivers get a lot of real-time feedback on the quality of their driving.

If you hear my horn, it means I'm giving you constructive criticism. Think of it as "360 feedback."

I live in DC. MD and VA drivers constantly turning left on a no left turn arrow near my house. I do honk at them, just a short tap. It f’s up traffic for blocks. That’s why there’s a no left turn arrow during rush hour.

If that makes me confrontational so be it.

That's because a significant number of Maryland drivers drive while high, which is not exactly a better situation.

A huge number of DC plates are also smoking while driving. And don't get me started on the drivers with phony paper temp tags.....80% chance they are high AF and 33% chance they are carrying a gun.

FL is just above MD on the list. Are Floridians all driving while high, too?

Everyone knows Florida and Maryland drivers are two sides of the same coin. And yes, this is definitely due to the larger number of MD drivers crossing over the bridges for work (or tax evasion).
