In what type of relationship is this either a normal text? Received at 6 am.
"Please get the trash/recycle out to the curb. There's also a trash can behind the shed tjat jas grass clipplings that needs to go to the curb. Thank you" Is it normal between husband and wife? Parent to child? Roomates? Boss to restaurant worker? Does your opinion change if it's a female sending or a male sending? Does your opinion change if the sender was near/next to the trash cans when sending this text? Do you have an opinion about texting someone at 6 am? Thanks. |
| Why should we go on a wild goose chase. Just tell us what the situation is. |
+1. You go first, OP What is your problem with the text? |
| I (DH) can see sending one to my DW. I usually (99.99%) take the trash out but, for whatever reason I can't/forgot/on travel, I can see myself sending something like that to my DW. Probably make the tone softer thou |

That seems like something my wife would send me, or I would send her, if one of us was traveling or leaving early and it was garbage day. I probably would have added some pleasantries or terms of affection, but that's just me.
I see nothing wrong with it. |
| I’d send that to my husband and he would send it to me if needed. Idk sounds like just clear communication/reminders. What don’t you like about it? |
| seems normal |
| No issue with this text!! for whatever the scenario unless it's the "first time" someone spent the night (in a dating situation) |
| I don’t think it’s that bad? It has please/thank you, but if someone standing next to bins told me to take them out I’d be a little confused. |
Lol that’s fair. ‘On your walk of shame can you set the bins out?’ |
| OP - how are things in the bedroom? |
| Whut? |
|
"Hey schmoopie! Good morning! I'm such a dolt and forgot to take the trash cans to the curb. Could you grab them real quick and set them out? There's one for grass clippings too. Thank you so much! Love you! XOXOXO! - Honey bunny"
Some people don't really need all the schmoopie stuff to talk about a trash can on the curb. I guess some people do. |
Lmao

| Op here, my issue is that despite the please and thank you, it seems like an order, not a request. But based on your replies I guess I am wrong. |
