| Maybe look into taking a writing course? |
| Cannot f Ing believe I wake up at 6am every day now. I used to sleep in till 9 every day. Even weekdays because my commute was 5 min long. Fml |
| ha ha !! that was funny |
HOw great is it to go to sleep by 9 pm every night?? |

| OMG YES I keep volunteering for more things and joining more things and getting more hobbies but that can't cure the deep soul boredom. |
|
Parenting becomes more fun as they grow older and have minds and personalities of their own.
Mine are almost 11 and 8. There is no boredom in my house. But, be careful what you wish for... There is constant story telling, laughter, screaming, singing, dancing, running, whining and back talking. 😆 |
| I said pretty much the same thing to a colleague pre pandemic when I had toddlers and was working in person 5 days a week. I think it was something like “is this it?” I picked up a hobby that is creative and makes me feel better, enabled because my kids are older now and I don’t have the commuting time while I work from home. Also gained a lot more friends and activities as the kids advanced through elem school. It gets better. |
| this is why i love DCUM sometimes. |
| You are very lucky. Time flies too and it's all worth it. That's all I have to say. |
| Now you are "abroad" from where you used to live. |
You'll always be a broad in my heart. |
The only thing that will cure this kind of boredom is meditation. |
| Do you read? Reading more (everything -- novels, nonfiction, magazines, essays) is honestly a better way to stay engaged and be a more worldly, interesting person than travel. And not a knock on travel, which I love, but I know lots of people who travel a ton but read little and they are boring. Whereas I know people who read a ton but travel much less who are better conversationalists and more interesting thinkers. |
