um, don't they send they much sooner for federal trials, so jury will actually be there day 1 in march 2024. seems it is a couple months in advance?

Yes, at least a month, but I don't recall the exact amount, could be 2. You get the notice and have 10 days to return the form or do it on line.

They might do what they did with the baseball steroids trial and send out some pre-screening forms to weed out people who aren't available for a long trial.

Considering the whack jobs threatening grand jurors in other Trump trials, I wonder if the jury would be sequestered or given some protection?

This would be my primary concern. I would really be concerned about my identity as a juror getting out. I haven't been called since before covid so it will probably happen soon.

Might be a long trial. Won't be a long deliberation.

What sort of questions can the lawyers for the defense ask to try to get an impartial jury?

Did he choose a jury? Seems liek a gamble if the jury pool is DC residents.

They've done the same for the Roger Stone trial and Jan 6 cases

Oh, interesting! I hadn't considered that he'd ask for a bench trial . . . normally defendants prefer a jury trial.

There is no way in hell he would choose a bench trial with this judge.
I'm putting in my prediction now. Hung jury.
