| TJ was ranked the 5th best high school in the country! The #1 school was Early College Guilford in NC, probably just a Duke feeder or something. |

There’s already a thread on this. But here is the link:

| Link to the other thread? Can't find it |
| So that's what new admission policy brought? heh. |
Um that school def isn't a duke feeder. |
The data is from before the admissions changes. |
\ it's not fair to compare a school of 200 students with TJ with 2000 students. TJ has more students than the top 4 high schools put together. Looking at Virginia ranking, the #2 and #3 from Richmond each have 200 students, while all the NOVA schools have at least 2000, excluding George Mason out of Falls Church. |
| I notice these lists are always dominated by magnet and charter schools, two BASIS schools are on the top of the list, as well as various other stem and technology schools. |
| Where's Maggie Walker? |
It doesn't appear to acknowledge the existence of Maggie Walker, as far as I can tell. |
|
FCPS had 6 of top 10 in Virginia:
TJ #1 McLean # 4 Langley # 5 Oakton # 6 Marshall #9 Woodson #10 |
| How does Mclean outrank Langley when Langley is wealthier and has like 1/4th the number of ESOL/FARMS kids? |
Fairfax is by far the largest school district in the state so . . . And TJ isn’t a Fairfax school. |
It is absolutely an FCPS school. It is operated expressly and exclusively by FCPS. |
