Interesting that Whitman did not have nearly as many Ivy acceptances as the other schools. |
| The data is supplied by the schools. Are public schools even allowed to share without permission? |
| Yes, it is not as if they give anyone's name or identifying information |
looks like naviance data - as long as there is no student's names i think it should be fine. |
| How do high schools know about schools with declined acceptances? Obviously, they know what schools they sent final transcripts too, but how would a public school know if my kid got into Pitt and declined? |
Reading is fundamental. It says right in the intro that the data is self-reported by students. |
Guess it isn’t actually that great of a school. |
| Bethesda Magazine is so bad, i wish Bethesda Beat never sold out to them. |
Bethesda Beat was always owned by Bethesda Magazine. |
If you kids updated their naviance (where he/she planned to attend), then they will show up on the data. It's all naviance and it's self reported. |
| These lists are useless because many qualified students don't apply to schools they cannot afford to attend. |

That is so not true. Ivies and other top colleges give better financial aid packages then many average middle of the road-priced colleges. |
Whitman did horrible. So did WJ. Don’t they have some of the richest families? |
