Moving off Capitol Hill, where to go for great schools and walkability?

Leaving Capitol Hill due to crime and time for a change. Need good schools, safe neighborhood, walkable, good bike trails, one of us commutes to downtown dc to office 3 days a week. Recommendations?

How does commuter get downtown? Bike trail, car or metro? Parts of Arlington would work well, but where depends on how you commute (and price range).

Op here-prefer to bike or metro downtown. Not drive

I would say wood acres but it's not really walkable to much other than the school and playground area. super close to CC trail which could be used to bike to DC.

Op what are you trying to walk to?

In Bethesda/CCMD you can take the Capitol Crescent or Rock Creek trial for biking and/or Friendship Heights or Bethesda metro

Are these actual neighborhoods, or are these just real estate names?
