Rosters will be up to 30 spots. Players can only play one game in a weekend so players will be placed between RL/NL weekly for some clubs.

Current rules are one game a day not weekend - changing that would cause widespread havoc in scheduling.

ECNL will play Saturday and ECRL will play Sundays. One game a weekend. That’s why they will need big rosters so they have the flexibility to move kids up and down as needed.

Completely unrealistic! What about the many travel away weekends with games on Sat and Sun? And many ECNL clubs only have national teams (no regional or rec)

That's absolutely not how it works, but previous poster can continue making up ridiculous scenarios.

There's going to be a lot disappointment by the posters here. Clubs are too busy to do much beyond their normal scouting/recruiting to do all the dreams posted here. Yes, they'll start to eye sept-Q4 players where that makes sense, especially those already on their clubs, but the main focus for 25/26 will be making those 25/26 teams the strongest they can be. And then they'll start to pivot to 26/27.

Sounds like wishful thinking by a Q1 parent who believes literally nothing will change in 25/26. You could be right. You could also be wrong.

It's what I'm already seeing -- where clubs as much as they can are punting these decisions/moves until next year, especially whenever parents start asking questions. People here think there's all this time for these clubs to strategize and find the best sept-Q4 players and how to bring them in now. There's no time for that. If anything, it's more parents who will lead any change of clubs this year and xyz popular club might be the beneficiary. Then again, that type of movement happens every year as antsy parents look for better options for their kids.

On the other side of the coin, all it takes is one club to start amassing Q4's and the lid comes off for everyone.

Clubs are already assessing and recruiting the Q4s. If all else is equal…who will they take, the Q1 or Q4? The Q4 and develop them for next year. Common sense.

No time for what? Adjust rosters for August 2025? It's March.

Does this poster have any real insights? Or is this usual DCUM blather? I can say for a fact that we have multiple weekends with 2 games, esp when travelling to Jersey for example. And we have zero movement between NL and RL…

That poster is just making shit up

That's not how it happens, tho. These top places hold ID sessions and open practices and people show up. Over-eager parents email to get their kid a session at a practice. And this is kids of all birth months. If someone they like ends up being septQ4, all that does is give the new club more options, especially into the future. That's about it. If you think there's more going on, you've got an overactive imagination.

They may be on different teams until 26-27, but they take both. Common sense.
