Some T 25 on the list:

#1 U of Michigan
OSU
Cal
#8 Stanford
#13 Vanderbilt
#14 Auburn
#21 U of FL
#22 UC SD
#24 JHU
#26 U of Washington

If you look at the # by per capita, the order is a bit different, but most of the same colleges are on there.

I hadn't realized how dangerous U Mich was. So many cases of rape there.

Slightly different list does have Yale on there, as well as U Mich. I'll have to cross post.

I recall the data to support this list was published in another thread months ago. I believe OSU was at the top of the list, and that the vast majority of the crime was labeled as "inappropriate touching" when you looked at the detail.

I am not giving a pass to inappropriate touching...however, that is very different from what concerns most people about crime.

Or rather, it's different from what DCUM crime posters mean when they say "crime"

? Is this like the p*ssy grabber defense, where "inappropriate touching" is not considered a crime?

"Fondling" is on the list, and yea, OSU has a lot of "inappropriate touching".

Well, if you read the article - the top 2 are because of sexual abuse by a medical profession so U of Michigan can thank Larry Nasser for that. And Ohio State can thank that coach that Jim Jordan defends. The numbers for Michigan are just chilling.

Nevermind - wasn't Nasser. Different one. Even more chilling.

Surprising that UMD isn't on the list. The way things are going GW is probably on the rise.

what article are you referring to?

UMD is on the second page #62. Most of the issues are car thefts. I'd rather my kid deal with car theft than rape, fondling or violent crime, though the rape# is still too high, IMO. But, given the size of the student population, the number of rape incidents there is lower than say, Harvard.

This list is eye opening to me.

Understand, that this is not random people coming on campus and committing sexual crimes. This is student-on-student.

"Because we want this article’s focus to be on the most dangerous college campuses, we omitted violent crimes that were considered non-campus and public property."

This is a major concern and should not have been omitted.

From one perverted doctor more than 20 years ago. But you knew that didn’t you?

Is it? I doubt you read the article at all.

These numbers aren’t per capita so it’s mostly just a list of giant campuses. Rates would be better info.
