Am I alone in not being a fan of Glowscreen?

I’ve read so many raves on this board about Supergoop Glowscreen, and since I’m pale and dry-skinned, I thought I’d be a perfect candidate for it, to give a bit of dewiness and color. Bought a bottle and have been using it for a couple of weeks. I feel like I just look like a greasy mess! Essentially it looks like I’ve coated my whole face in highlighter. Am I the only one?

yes, you are alone.

I am fair and dry skinned too and it is the only thing i wear now. And it doesn't cause me to breakout

Op, I’m with you. Does nothing for me.

No. It's loaded with silicone and breaks me out even though I never break out. I also burn through it. I started using it on arms and legs just to get rid of it and also got a vicious sunburn despite no water and re-applying hourly. I HATE it. I guess at least I didn't get weird acne on my chest and arms? That's the best review I can give.

I tried the E.L.F. sunscreen that is supposedly a dupe for it. Overall I like it but you HAVE to wear it under makeup or else it looks kind of insane. I always apply 1/4 of a teaspoon of sunscreen which is the amount needed to get the full SPF, and its a LOT. I like how it dries down well though.

Some other options for this skin type if you don't like it:

- Dr. Jart+ BB cream with SPF 40. It's tinted but goes on super, super sheer so it does not feel/look like make up. I find it evens out my skin tone without giving me that mask like look you get from foundation and other BBs and CCs. And the light works well with pale skin (doesn't turn me orange or give me weird contrast with my neck).

- L'oreal Visible Lift CC. It's only SPF 20 so I usually apply on top of a mineral stick when I'm going to be out in the sun at all. It's a surprisingly good drugstore option. I bought it on vacation once when my luggage went amiss and liked it so much that it's my go-to for traveling since if it gets lost or left, I don't feel bad.

- Paula's Choice Defense Essential Glow Moisturizer. It's an SPF 30, so again, I sometimes double up.

I actually like the Glowscreen but I think it's pricy for what it is so I'm always looking for other options. I do not personally find it very moisturizing so when my skin is really dry from lots of time in the pool, stress, or travel, it's just not a great option for me. So I like to have a few choices.

I've literally never loved a face/makeup/skincare product more than Glowscreen. It has a really elegant feel, goes on smoothly, beautifully. So in love.

I also find it too shiny, OP.

You’re talking crazy, op.

I got the Glow Stick and found it to be super oily/greasy. It was such a bummer because the idea of roll on sunscreen sounded great to me - a couple of swipes and done, not getting any on my fingers, etc.

I don’t like it either OP.

The Glow Stick is a completely different product! I don't like it either. I love Glowscreen, which is not oily or greasy.

Op, did you try the original glow screen or the newer one with different shades? I’m also fair and the original glow screen was way too dark for me, but I like the lighter version! I think it’s called Pearl or something.

The unscreen I love (and the TJ’s dupe) but the glow screen, no. It looks super weird on me.

I'm VERY fair and dry skinned, and I LOVE Glowscreen in the summer; I don't wear any other makeup over it. The rest of the year, it's too much a dewy look. I switch to the Unseen and then wear Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint over it -- which I also love!
