Do you have a water proof real gold chain which you don't have to take off every time you shower? Please share link? Cost estimate?

Water proof gold? Not sure where you would find that.

I don’t understand what you mean by waterproof.

If it's real gold, it doesn't need to be "waterproof"

Real gold will not corrode or tarnish in water. However, 22k gold is nearly pure and quite soft. You might have trouble finding a chain made from gold that soft. Are you talking about a 22k gold plated chain? In this case, you need to consider what base metal is used. Copper and brass will be prone to discoloring, whether it's wet or not. Cheaper chains may use steel as a base metal which will be a problem in water. A simple magnet will tell you if it's made of steel.

As far as I know, any “real” gold chain will be ok. Gold filled, vermeil, or even lower levels such as 10k might not be. I’ve never had any problems with wearing gold chains in the shower, but I’d take them off when I go swimming to avoid the chlorine/ pool chemicals.

Solid 22k gold is fine. It’s used everywhere for jewelry in India. My mom wears her chains every day and they hold up well. 24k needs to be handled carefully.

Guaranteed to be pure.

Most gold jewelry in India is 22k and it holds up really well, real gold doesn’t corrode upon contact with water. 24k is soft and rarely used for jewelry.

I have an 18k necklace that’s very fine. Breaks too easily. I’m getting 14k to replace it.

14k is totally fine in water too. this is an odd question.
