Bidding War in Cathedral Commons

This house was just renovated. It looks a little too trendy but location is everything: https://www.trulia.com/p/dc/washington/3717-fulton-st-nw-washington-dc-20007--2090290949

This sounds like something a real estate agent would post.

100%. It’s like a house humblebrag.

Where to begin… this isn’t Cathedral Commons and it’s only debatably in Cathedral Heights. It’s really in the northeast corner of Glover Park. The location is pleasant but not as walkable or transit friendly as other parts of NW. While the renovations look nice (though not my own taste), the price seems very high for this size, layout, and location.

Trying to start a bidding war, OP?

1. Exterior is lovely
2. All the blues are too bright.
3. Gold hardware and light fixtures are already dated.
3. All the black hardware/fittings are dated.

I hate it. Someone (new money maybe, from out of town maybe) will love it. No idea what price it will realize

Why is "bidding war" in the title of this thread? The townhouse hasn't even sold.

If I'm paying $2 million to share a wall, it's not gonna be in whatever we're calling that neighborhood.

I couldn't get through all the photos. The colors and style were awful... so, I guess you can count me out of the "bidding war"

Are people really going into a bidding war for this? The level of desperation has reached another low point. I feel sorry for them.

I agree
Also, one room where the double bed is pushed against the wall with a window. I get the impression that they are trying to pretend that the room is larger than it is.
How is the 2nd person supposed to off the bed unless they climb over the person
And if it is a double bed for a single person, then you have to move the bed every time you need to make the bed

Where is the microwave?

If location is everything, then we both agree that this rowhouse is not worth it because the location is not good.

I’m guessing the realtor.
I can’t imagine that price will incite a bidding war.

OP. Maybe I should look into that as a second career. Seriously thought it was very trendy and would date easily, but the location is really good.
