| I know most of them now have DEI directors but which ones walk the walk and which ones are just doing it for show? |
| All of the top DC privates have rich kids of every color. You’re fine. |
| St John’s College High School |
| Yes, true diversity at SJC. Different colors of very wealthy at many others. |
| Burke |
| There isn't true diversity at any, just like PP said rich or middle-high income kids in ever color. They aren't pulling kids who are in true need like foods stamps and cash assistance. |
|
Spare me, none of them have a tenth the diversity of a small town public school
Find me the ones that enroll the kids of top politicians alongside special needs, vocational students, and kids living in poverty who will likely drop out a couple years into puberty (drop out of school, not drop out of puberty) |
In other words, you are only familiar with a small handful of private schools. |
Are you excluding Catholic schools? |
Wouldn’t vocational students be interested in a different program of study than that offered at most private schools? And students living in poverty can be a tough demographic to reach. Even public option schools - which are totally free and often will provide transportation- can’t capture this demographic in equal measure to the public neighborhood schools. It’s just not easy. |
Also, there are plenty of kids at SJC where the parents are working extra jobs to pay tuition. Yet there are other kids who come from incredibly wealthy families. |
You are wrong. |
DC are in a small town public school. It’s as White as snow. If OP wants racial diversity, you couldn’t be more wrong. There is very little diversity in small towns; period. |
+1 PP says "at any" as if PP has experience with all. |
| It’s all selective diversity. |
