| During the school year when they need to be up a certain time |
| My DC is in bed at 8 and either goes straight to sleep or stays up until around 8:30 reading. She gets up around 7. |
| At 21 oh god |
| 6:30? 7:00? |
This is our son too but he is usually up around 6:30, if not earlier. |
| In bed by 8. |
|
In bed by 8, generally reads until 9. Wakes up at 7 or 7:30. She’s always needed less sleep than average.
I should note she doesn’t turn the lights out. She just falls asleep with it on. She went through a big fear of the dark phase at 5 and this is the compromise we reached. It’s actually fine. |
| During the school year we aim for 7:30. Wakes up around 6-6:30 I think. Over the summer he’s been going to bed any time between 7 and 9. |
| In bed close to 8, sometimes 8:15 and falls asleep shortly thereafter. She gets up around 7. |
|
In bed at 7/715
Lights out at 730. Up around 7 |
| 7:30-8 , but he usually read some |
| All your 6 year olds are reading to themselves at bedtime? |
No we read together. She’s in bed at 750, we read until 810, goes bathroom, arranges her stuffies, lights out at 815. Kindergarten was 8 but now she’ll be in first. She’s up around 645-7. |
| My DS, turned 7 not too long ago, has lights out at maybe 9 or 930pm. He wakes up at 815 or so and we can to school by 9am. He's a night owl and so am I - and it just works better for him. |
| In bed by 8ish, reads to herself until 8:30/8:45 then usually turns the light out independently and falls asleep. Up between 6:30 and 7:30. Has never been a huge sleeper but sleeps well. |
