Hidden cameras found in Silver Spring airbnb

Anonymous
Couple finds a few cameras in a rented airbnb in Silver Spring. They are suing the property owner, Christoper Goisse who is a licensed psychiatric nurse practitioner in Maryland.

I really don't think airbnb is doing enough anymore this situations are happening very frequently.

The article implies that the brother did this.

Whoa that’s nuts! Sounds like the owner is a little off.

Why anyone would stay in an AirBnB is beyond me.

The host could install cameras.

Or a guest could install cameras.

Risk for hosts as well as guests.

I know several people who have had items stolen from them during stays at airbnbs. (Think: laptops and jewelry.)

Host blames burglars, but you never know.

Personally, I’m a MoCo resident who thinks large swaths of Silver Spring are sketchy.

Well, Airbnb hosts have all kinds of relatives or neighbors who could infiltrate.

It implies no such thing. It states that the brother deleted the evidence, but no way does it imply that the owner had nothing to do with it.

Yup! TOTAL NUT. And for those who are suggestions it's some one other than the owner who placed the cameras Occam's razor pretty much applies here.

No, it doesn't. Reading is fundamental.

Please re-read.

No, the article implies that the twin brother had the time to destroy the evidence. It suggests the owner and his brother may be working together on this.

Yes, it does. They quote the owner as saying that there was a possibility another guest planted the cameras. Then the owner refused access to the room the brother was staying in and when the brother finally emerged it was “presumably after deleting evidence.”

That points to the onsite brother as the person who set this up.

Actually, you need to re-read. Other than owning the home there’s nothing in the article that is evidence against the brother. There are statements against the brother who lived on-site.

WOW read the full lawsuit people!!!

"While MCPD was present at the Property, another individual walked up the
driveway of the Property and explained he was staying in the basement via another Airbnb rental.

MCPD then found another hidden camera smoke detector in the basement where this renter was
staying."

ON THE SAME BLOCK!!!

I would have sued for more than just $75K. There is video out there of the renters being intimate!

Is that house owned by the same person? Or is the name of the street Perv St.?

This is why I prefer hotels. And I never even thought of the idea that another guest might set up cameras!
