BMW X3 - What options did you get that are worth it?

I am looking to buy a BMW X3 x30i - and trying to decide on options.

Did you get Leather or SensaTec?
Did you like heads up display?
Dynamic Handling Package - is this really necessary?
Parking Assistance Package?

I am looking to get a new one (or order one) so planning on choosing the options vs getting on on the lot.

I have a 2023 with leather. I ordered it with every feature (long story) but the 2023 models did not have heads up display or parking assist due to semiconductor shortage, as I understand it. The 2022 I test drove did have both so I was pretty disappointed not to have them. I don’t know if I have dynamic handling? I can choose how I want it to handle. Sorry that isn’t helpful. I know a few people who love heads up display.

The dealer told me I can now order the 2023 with the heads up display and parking assist. However on the BMW website - you can only build a 2024 model. But I plan to order 2023 model.

Did you get the M sport? What color did you get exterior/interior?

We have a 2021 w park assist and heads up, and while admittedly didn’t buy it for either specifically, and I think people should actually freaking learn to parallel park, both have grown on me. We got sensa seats cause…baby and dog. Nice? Yes. Live or die options? No. Love the car in general and gets decent city miles.

PP: bought the 2021 new and happened to like one on the lot - the prior one we had shipped from Germany; was worth it to get what we wanted so if you aren’t in a hurry, do that!

Yes, M sport. Dark blue exterior and black leather interior. I love it! I built it online and supply chain delays meant I had to rebuild a 2023 instead of a 2022 and that’s when I lost the heads up display, etc. I got it in Fall 2022 so back when it was hard to get a new car.

Thank you for the information. I was told I could only get leather with M sport. Does M sport mean that the fron kidney grill is black? Or do you need to add showline for that?

My front grill is silver on the X3 M sport. I remember there being options beyond leather when I built it. As for ordering, it’s a company benefit I got with a promotion so it went through a fleet management company my employer uses.

I drove an x3 without M package and felt the steering was a bit loose.

Should I get the dynamic handling package? Anybody get this and recommend it?

If it is the same leather as the X7, it is definitively worth it.
