Can you make a good match if you are not conventionally attractive?

Do you know of any examples where a woman of unconventional beauty married well in the conventional sense?

What does “unconventional beauty” mean? Do you mean unattractive?

Yes - quite a few

Look at rishi sunak’s wife — rishi is considered attractive by the British press “dishy rishi”

But I’m from the north east USA and I commonly have seen this in catholic and Jewish circles (the daughters have serious old money/connections) that ameliorate their looks.

Do you mean ugly? Yes, ugly people get married.

Yes, I’m very plain, my husband doesn’t seem to care. We got married young, it’s been abt 15 years.

Absolutely! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder- one person's 2 could be another person's 9 plus being a kind, fun, good, charismatic person is magnetic. I have noticed that being in good shape, maintaining good skin/hair, and knowing what flatters you in terms of colors and clothing helps everyone be much more attractive. I'm not sure how attractive I am, but I know that when I put effort in, I look completely different than when I don't.

A) Rishi Sunak’s wife is pretty!

B) she’s very rich and they met at Stanford

Yes. I'm fat and not conventionally attractive. I'm very happily married to a man who is a good father, makes good money (we would be rich by most standards, but UMC by DCUM standards), and is a wonderful husband.

Yes. I have seen this many times where the woman isn’t as attractive as the husband. But it’s an honest relationship in that they are intellectual equals and truly fell madly in love. I say this as a woman who is a few knotches more attractive than my DH (especially now 20 years in) and I gave up my career so he could have his “big job” and kids at the same time. Many people may think he married for my looks, but I am also very smart and talented and we are also intellectual equals who fell madly in love.

Ever see a makeover on an early morning network show? You can make almost anyone much more attractive.
