| Private or public school? He definitely has a shot. If he loves it I would ED. |
|
No hooks?
50/50 chance if you apply ED. Much lower chance in RD pool. (My kid has almost identical stats and that's what his counselor told him.) |
| Thanks-private school, no hooks. |
| yes, easily. |
Disagree- looking at our private’s SCOIR. The last few years have been rough. It is by no means a slam dunk, let alone a safety. It’s veering on a reach. |

BC never even required an essay outside of the common app. They don’t care. |
| A mass is a small price to pay for admission. He should find religion, specifically catholicism |

Agreed (I'm the 50/50 poster above.) When we met with our son's guidance counselor in January, they said that two years ago he would have almost certainly been admitted, but that since then things have grown much more competitive and that they've seen a lot of similar kids get rejected. |
| I was going to say excellent chance if ED. Then just learned BC is 70% Catholic. So who knows? |
100% false |
All this tells us is that you have no idea what you’re talking about and you haven’t from the start. Your contribution to this thread is worthless. |
| I think he’d increase his chances by applying ED and having a compelling reason shown for why BC and its mission are the right fit for him. |
