| College advisor suggested DC explore it. What has your experience been! |
| It's great! It's got every conceivable major, lots of interesting programs, pretty campus. Seems a lot less crowded than UMD and more personal than Penn State. Happy kids. |
| I love the campus and the size, neither of my kids liked their tour, but I wished that they had. |
|
I know some current students and some alumni and they just love the school.
I wish I could have interested my kids, I like the distance from the DC area. |
|
I grew up close to campus and many of my friends are alums.
Newark is a lovely town and the campus is pretty well integrated into the Main Street area. I didn’t choose to go there because I wanted to go away to school, but I spent time with friends when I was home on breaks. It is a nice place to spend 4 years. |
Home of the a$$ kickin chickens
|
| I have two young coworkers who went to Delaware and they are both stellar - great work ethic, outstanding work product and they are fantastic colleagues. |
| DS liked it and would have gone there if he didn't get into VT. |
Same. Also, both of my kids said "why is everyone here white?" |
|
Seems to be on par with JMU, GMU, VCU. Nice size for public university. Not too selective, lots of choices for major.

Ha, DD’s first reaction when seeing the Blue Hen mascot was “That doesn’t sound very fierce!” |
The Blue Hens name appears to come from a Revolutionary War company from Delaware. Odd story. |
| Nice campus overall. DC loved it. However, the building that houses the computer science department was terrible! |
I'll have to look it up-I wasn't in DE when we did state history in school (I lived across the line in MD) I do know that chickens outnumber people in Delaware something like 250 to 1. |
