Will they ever make a comeback? Why do you think they left the market?

| The article explains it pretty clearly. Cosby was the whole brand. |
| That thin, thin layer of clear ice on the outside ... |
Not really. Subway had a child sex abuse predator as their spokesperson and that brand lives on. |
| Ugh, I just picture Cosby when reminded of Jello Pudding Pops. |
| I don’t think anyone under the age of 45 would associate him with pudding pops. There are a lot of pops out there now including outshine, yazo, etc., so maybe they feel the pop market is saturated. I also bet they are tricky to transport and since so many cheaper brands have moved production to foreign countries, they may not find it cost effective to ship something that needs to have special refrigeration. |
Yes!! Like a thin candy coating! |
tastes like childhood! we’ve made homemade ones before. think we’ll be making them again soon! |
Wow, of all things that really took me back. |
| For the person who has made them, do you have a specific recipe you use (and does it create that coat of ice we all seem to feel nostalgic for)? |
I'm curious about this too. I vaguely remember reading online (could have been here) years ago that it is very hard to get that ice layer with pops made at home. |
| I mean, our former president has been accused of worse than Bill Cosby and he’s running for reelection! Why should Jell-O pudding pop suffer? |
|
18:13 again. For nostalgia, read this essay.

Gonna have to revise that further down. I’m 42 and I remember those commercials (and the thin ice! Good memory, PP!) very well. Those strawberry ones were something else. |
| They probably couldn't maintain their shelf space. Jello is Kraft. They dominate other aisles but not the freezer section. I'll bet people stopped buying during the Cosby scandal and they got pushed out of the case in favor of stronger brands, companies and better sellers. |
