It suddenly occurred to me tonight that Fred/Freddy is a GREAT NAME and I've never met a real life person with it, just characters in books and movies.
So if you are having a boy, I am submitting Frederick/Alfred/Freddy/Fred for your list. I am NOT having a boy, but I think it's my platonic ideal for a baby name -- classic but underused, a serious full name with friendly nickname options, and I find it extremely pleasing to say. What else is due for a comeback? What name would it please you to no end to hear hollered across a playground or see printed on a daycare cubby? |

Really bad reference at the moment. |
I know two Tobys. One is about 15, and the other is four. |
Not for the vast majority of the country. And I mean that by way of saying most people don’t pay that much attention to politics, not that MTG isn’t bat shit crazy. Marjorie is a solid name. Whoever said Evelyn is late. That’s a top 10 name in the SSA index. |

Define "very popular" because it and its variations are ranked pretty low on the SSN list. I've never met one, of any age. |
