Unexpected meetup with friends came up, and the Mosaic district seems like a good 'meet in the middle' spot. Recommendations for where to eat. Any places to avoid also welcome.
I have only been to Ted's Bulletin (Meh) and Four Sisters (a shadow of its former self) there. |
Jinya Ramen or Sisters Thai. Btw Four Sisters closed permanently around Mother’s Day. |
I like Kirby Club, it’s a good spot to sit at the bar and the cocktails are good. |
Bar Taco is good and the Italian place is actually really good, I don't know why it's always empty. |
FYI Jinya really went downhill in the past year ![]() |
The Mexican place is actually good- Urbano. I like Bar Taco too but get bored with it. |
Urban Hot Pot is good |
Our Mom Eugenia’s - hands down the best restaurant in Mosaic |
Open road |
Alta Strada? I remember it (or the outdoor seating anyway) being packed last time I went by. |
Matchbox is a good hang-out-with-a-group-of-friends spot.
B Side or the whiskey room if you like cocktails and heavy appetizers / charcuterie type stuff. Urbano was good. Wasn't a big fan of True Food, but it seems to have a following. I've been meaning to go to Our Mom Eugenia, but it has a massive wait every time I think about it - so it must be good ![]() Just up the street, Open Road is another good noisy gathering spot. Trio (next to Open Road) is one of our favorites, but more of steakhouse than a casual gathering spot. |
Oh - forgot to mention Caboose! Great spot to hang out over burgers and beer. |
Thank you all! Would anyone happen to know if any of these places take reservations for outdoor seating? Someone in the friend group is immunocompromised currently and can only eat outdoors, and we don’t want to chance not having seating available for a group of 8. |
True Food does on open table (not sure for 8 though) and it is kind of semi-enclosed.
For outdoor seating, I would say calling Caboose and explaining your situation is the best bet. |
